THIS IS A DRILL
At approximately 0835 on 3 October 2009, WA4MOK announced the following scenario on the Tarheel Emergency Net:
1. Power outage statewide due to a central switching station computer outage.
2. Ziva, a Category 1 Hurricane has formed off the North Carolina coast with winds of 80 MPH, moving towards the NNE at 10 miles per hour. This storm is expected to make landfall in Wilmington, NC at approximately 1000 hrs on 3 October 2009 and is expected to make a turn to the North and run along the North Carolina coast.
